I saw you tonight,
Rather accidently...
I saw you with him...
The boy who's replaced me.

You went out tonight,
Got your drinks for free.
Doing the things that used to be,
Only for you and me.

I parked under the skyline,
Smoked the distance away.
Not too far from you,
But forever in a way...

My radio was on,
But your ears didn't hear.
Over your head, the drifting songs,
But I guess mercy flies too high to reach.

I came to say bye,
Before you flee.
But no resolution,
On nights of brevity.

Too many drinks,
Not enough sleep.
Quite by accident,
I stumbled to see...
The boy in your life,
Who used to be me.

Now I stare at the walls,
Waiting for ease.
While my twisting stomach,
Rocks me to sleep..

Having nightmares of what used to be,
Replaced in the world of you and me.
